This engagement came at a pivotal moment for a successful publisher of unique children’s books. Created out of necessity by a Black father of muti-racial children, these straightforward, honest, simple and beautifully designed books don’t talk down to kids. Every book shows respect for the readiness of children to address difficult yet crucial topics like racism, mental health, bullying and much more. Founder Jelani Memory was ready to go multi-channel, switching from books alone to podcasts and video classes. Although subscriptions were going well, it was also time to take this piece of the business to another level with customization to accommodate a fast growing library with a new age group offering.
